Grace T. Vitori

Grace T. Vitori, 89, of Middletown, died Sunday, November 14, 2010, at her residence. She was born in Middletown, Ohio on October 5, 1921 to parents Peter and Frances (Paradiso) Amatulli.

Mrs. Vitori and her husband Nick were the owners of Vitori's Grocery Store, working together side-by-side for 61 years. For the local community, a trip to their store was like visiting family; and because of her smiling face, no nonsense attitude and generous spirit, many called it "Gracie's". Although the grocery brought long hours, Grace still found time to honor her heritage and faith with 78 years in the Holy Trinity choir, service in the Catholic Ladies Society and membership and leadership roles in the Sons of Italy Frank D. Vitori Lodge and the Smiling Grandmothers.

Grace is survived by one son, Dennis (Suzi) Vitori; four brothers: Daniel (Margeurite) Amatulli, Joseph (Josephine) Amatulli, Carl (Sue) Amatulli, Tony (Monica) Amatulli; granddaughter, Ami (Kevin) Kimener; great grandson, Marco A. Kimener; sister-in-law, Jean Vitori; many, nieces, nephews & other family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Nick G. Vitori (7-10-07), brothers, James & Angelo Amatulli, sisters, Irene Thomas; Sister, Margo Cribbs.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 19, 2010 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church. Visitation will be Thursday, November 18, 2010 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, OH. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
