Gloria J. Muthert

Gloria J. Muthert, 75, of Franklin Township, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023 at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She was born in Middletown on August 27, 1947 to parents, William F. and Kathleen E. (Whitley) Muthert.

Gloria graduated from Franklin High School in 1966 and worked for AK Steel for 30 years, retiring from the Quality Control Dept. She collected insulators and was a longtime member of the National Insulator Association. She was also a member of the Middletown Moose Lodge #501 and the Middletown Orioles. Gloria enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening, being on the tractor, and also raising chickens. She especially enjoyed attending events for her niece, Hadley and nephew, Bentley.

Gloria is survived by her sisters, Kathleen (Herman) Wolfe, Dorothy Muthert & Patricia Fueston; her best friend for over 30 years, Sandi Noel; nieces, Katie Souders & Cassandra Harper; as well as numerous cousins and other nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Patrick Muthert.

As Gloria wished, there will be no services.
