Georgia Weaver

Georgia Weaver, 93, of Middletown, died Sunday, February 25, 2007, at Garden Manor Retirement Village. She was born in Middletown, on December 18, 1913 to parents Louis and Eugenia (Demitracopoulos) Georgopoulos.

Mrs. Weaver graduated from Middletown High School and has lived in Middletown all of her life. She worked at Aeronca during World War II and later was a clerk at the John Ross Department Store. Georgia was a lifelong member of Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, where she was one of the original members of the Mother's Club. She was a life member of the Daughters of Penelope and life member and first President of the Philoptocis Society. She was devoted & loving to her family & friends all of her life.

Mrs. Weaver is survived by her loving daughter-in-law, Sharon Weaver; nieces, Sandra Linardos, Gina Papadakis, Carol Whitt, Sharon Green, Sylvia Krupp, Beverly Anderson, Eugenia Friedman, and Bobby Chifos; nephews, Leon Anderson and Alex Anderson; and several great nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Weaver; son, Louis E. Weaver; her parents; sisters, Joanne Chifos, Alice Netsos, Marie Anderson, Thalia Soter, and Katherine Georgopoulos; and brother, George Georgopoulos.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 3, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church with Reverend Dr. Christos Christakis officiating. Visitation will be Friday, from 6:00 -8:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with a Trisagion Prayer Service held at 7:30 PM. The Daughters of Penelope will also hold a special honorary service. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
