Fred H. Kakaris

Fred H. Kakaris, 79, of Middletown, died Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Breathitt County, Kentucky on March 12, 1934 to parents Peter and Elvira (Robinson) Kakaris.

Fred worked in tool repair for McGraw Construction for 30 years, retiring in 1999 and was a member of Local 534 Laborers Union. He was a member of New Life Ministries, where he served as Deacon.

Mr. Kakaris is survived by his son, Jeffrey (Sandy) Kakaris; daughter, Terry (Gary) Dixon; brothers, Louis (Helen) Kakaris, Ova Kakaris & Ben (Ilene) Kakaris; sister, Mary (Ed) Neice; grandchildren, Shelley Scaramozzino & Kenny (Heather) Dixon; step grandchildren, Candice Snelling & Duke (Mary) Snelling; 6 great grandchildren; and former wife, Barbara Baden.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Lula Sorrell, Edna Sargent & Oma Hollon.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend Brother Gary Barrett officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 - 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
