Ethel 'Birdie' Gregory

Ethel ‘Birdie’ (Byrd) Gregory, 92, went to be with the angels on May 2, 2006, at her residence. She was born in Middletown, on May 11, 1913 to parents Grover and Cam Byrd.

Her family and friends celebrate her long life in this time of grief. She was loving, independent, creative, amazingly strong, and always ´plucky´, bringing a smile to all who knew her.

Her family is sure she is happy to be reunited with her husband, three children, her parents, her siblings, and a rascally son-in-law, all of whom preceded her in death.

She will be lovingly missed by her surviving son and six daughters and their families: Gene, Dody & Perry , Pat & Jay , Barbara , Judy , Cubby , Trinkie & Richard. She is survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to her home nurse, Becky O’Conner of Personal Touch, who took wonderful care of their mother and grandmother in the past months.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, May 5, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), with Reverend Nolan Phillips officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9 - 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
