Eleanor Ann Davis

Eleanor Ann Davis, 82, of Morrow, formerly of Middletown, died peacefully on Sunday, December 23, 2018, at Pine Ridge Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Hueysville, Kentucky, on October 20, 1936 to parents, the late Ben Gearheart and Frona Gearheart (Dyer).

Eleanor was employed with Sorg Paper Company as a Lab Technician for over 35 years. She enjoyed spending her time gardening (especially tending to her flowers), playing slot machines at the casino, being active at the YMCA and playing cards with her family and friends.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her son, Barry Shockley and daughters, Karlena McKenzie and Karen (John) Hickernell; grandchildren, Jessica (Jeremy Mitchell) Harrison, Carrie (Jeremy) Cornett, Leslie (Han) Kim, Meagan (William) Ambacher and Hannah Gleckler; 13 great grandchildren; siblings, Shelah DeRossett, Iola Little, Erma Prater and Loretta Parker; step-daughters, Jenny (Fred) Minor and Shelly Davis; step-grandchildren, Danielle Davis, Thomas Davis and Jake Davis; former son-in-law, Gary McKenzie and former grandson-in-law, Chad Harrison.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Fred G. Davis; her son, Greg Shockley; and her siblings, Wilma Combs, Burnice Gearheart, Noma Irwin and Gertrude Howard.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 12pm at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Mike Cornett officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 10am-12pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery.
