Dr. Richard A. Dietz

Richard A. Dietz, 84, died Sunday, August 30, 2015, at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He was born September 11, 1930 in Chicago, IL, the son of George F. and Dorothy (Bernard) Dietz.

He was a graduate of Pilgrim Lutheran Elementary School and North Park Academy in Chicago. He had a bachelor's degree in science from Northwestern University and received his medical degree from Northwestern Medical School, graduating in 1956. He interned at Indianapolis General Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He served two years as a Captain in the U.S. Army with assignments in Texas and Germany. His residency in obstetrics and gynecology was completed at Bethesda Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. He then joined the practice of Robert P. Johnson in Middletown, OH in 1963.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lois Ann (McCardle) Dietz; two daughters, Lisa Young, Sally (Tony) McGlone; and granddaughter, Ann (Santino) Cannizzaro.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Doug Young.

Memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 11:00 am at First Presbyterian Church, with Reverend Greg Gibson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of a very special man.
