Cyrena C. Wagers, 89, of Middletown, died Friday, November 23, 2018, at Otterbein-Lebanon Retirement Community. She was born in Middletown, Ohio on August 22, 1929 to parents Dominic and Palma (Elena) Guido.

Cyrena owned and operated Guido’s Grocery with her father and brothers. She also worked as a cashier for Middletown High School retiring in 2008 as well as working at the Sports Bowl in Middletown. She was a member of Holy Family Parish.

Mrs. Wagers is survived by her son, Tom Wagers and daughters, Traci (Michael) Dick, Tammi (Allan) Morgan, Toni L. Johnson, Tina Calem, and Susan (Gary) Grimm; grandchildren, Monica, Dane, Danan, Brandon, Brett, Staci, Tess, Matthew, Jordan, Julie, Danielle, Adam, Corey and Randi; 16 great grandchildren; close friends, Helen Hass, Gerry McGuire and Mary Eckels.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley T. Wagers in 2008, her parents, brothers Carl Guido, Ignatius Guido, Thomas Guido, Xavier Guido, Samuel Guido and Anthony Guido; daughter-in-law, Beverly Wagers and grandson-in-law, Michael McQuinn.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 1:00 pm at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Deacon John Lyons officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
