Chester T. Trent

Chester T. Trent, 100, of Middletown, died Thursday, February 25, 2016, at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. He was born in Bigwoods, Kentucky on January 19, 1916 to parents John L. and Pearl (Klaber) Trent.

Chester had worked for Armco Steel Corp, retiring as a superintendent in 1978. He was an avid pilot, star basketball player in Franklin, loved to play golf and was a "Jack-of-all-trades".

Mr. Trent is survived by his son, Thomas C. (Joyce) Trent; daughters, Margaret T. Martin & Kathy S. (William) Zumbahlen; seven grandchildren, Matt, Mike, Mark, Martin, Mary, Erin & Lynne; fourteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; as well as many other loving family & friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary L. (Fisher) Trent; parents; and siblings, Bonnie Edward Trent, Nell Trent Whitaker, Richard P. Graham, Dudley Graham & Shirley Graham Edwards.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 29, 2016 at 10:30 am at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church, 201 Clark Street, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:00 - 10:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Entombment will be at Woodside Mausoleum.
