Charles “Nuz” Selby 82, of Middletown, died on November 12, 2022, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born on March 19, 1940 in Middletown, OH to Charles and Bethel Morrison Selby.
He worked for Armco Steel Corp for 35 years in the BOF Caster Maintenance Department retiring in 1994. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he was a deacon and head usher. “Nuz” was married to Rosemary “Vickie” Selby, the love of his life for 57 years. He was a family man and enjoyed going to his grandkid’s sporting events. “Nuz” loved his sons-in-law as if they were his own sons. He also enjoyed golf, bowling, and Florida fishing trips. “Nuz” was in the Bowling Hall of Fame and had a hole in one on the golf course.
Charles "Nuz" is survived by his wife; Rosemary "Vickie" Selby, daughters; Kim Selby, Jamie (Ted) Wehry and Kristy (Rob) Pheanis, grandchildren; Kyle (Darby), Ryan, Ella, Madeline, Hannah, Caroline, great grandchildren; Aiden Pheanis, Malcolm Pheanis, brother; Mike (Myra) Selby.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers; Chet Selby, Kenny Selby.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 10:30 AM at First Baptist Church of Middletown 4500 Riverview Avenue Middletown, OH 45042 with Reverend Scott Robertson officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30AM prior to the service.
Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum.
