Carol M. Hoskins

Carol M. Hoskins, 85, of Middletown, died July 3, 2018, at Ohio Living Mt. Pleasant. She was born in Middletown on December 24, 1932. She is the daughter of the late Elmer and Dorothy (Seelbrede) Weikel.

Carol was a graduate of Middletown High School, Class of 1950, and attended Ohio University. Carol worked as a reading aide at Amanda and Jefferson Schools and an office assistant at Roosevelt School. She enjoyed reading, traveling, spending time with her grandchildren, and delighted in playing board games. She was a long-time member of Christ United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Hoskins is survived by her brother, Charles Weikel of Paris, Texas; two daughters, Paula (Scott) Brewer of Sleepy Hollow, Illinois & Carla (David) Wight of Anchorage, Alaska; and four grandchildren, Natalie (Aaron) Selburg, Erik Brewer, Nick Wight & Isabella Wight. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hoskins; parents; and sister, Coralie (Weikel) Stabler.

Funeral Service will be held Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Christ Church United Methodist, 700 S. Marshall Rd., Middletown with Reverend Norman Coleman III officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00 pm with the Celebration of Life service beginning at 2:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Woodside Cemetery, 1401 Woodside Blvd, Middletown.
