Brian C. Demay, 56, of Liberty Township, Ohio, died on Monday, January 2, 2023, at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He was born April 1, 1966, in Royal Oak, Michigan. Brian grew up in Oscoda, Michigan, graduated from Oscoda High School, and received his B.A.A. from Central Michigan University.


Brian was musician, music lover, and songwriter, which made his career in radio a perfect fit. Throughout the 40 years of his broadcasting career, he worked at stations across the county, including Michigan, Ohio, New York, Delaware, and Rhode Island, and was currently program director and on-air personality at Warm 98.5 in Cincinnati. Brian served as a board member of the Greater Cincinnati Alzheimer's Association. He enjoyed sports, both as a participant and a fan (especially the Detroit Lions), traveling, and was a wine aficionado. He was a writer, poet, trombonist, pianist, mentor, and great communicator and listener.


Brian was an incredibly devoted and loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend, who will be greatly missed by his wife of 26 years, Heather Harwood; children, Connor Demay and Darcy Demay; mother, Marianne (Vinzenz) Demay; brothers, Pete (Tracey) Demay and Drew (Maribeth) Demay; as well as many other loving family and friends and his work family.


He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick Demay.


A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 330 Lebanon St., Monroe, Ohio, with Father Stephen Lattner, OSB, as celebrant. There will be a gathering of family and friends in the Parish Hall following the mass.
