Arthur David Thaeler

Arthur David Thaeler, 82, of Middletown, died Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Bilwaskarma, Nicaragua on December 17, 1935 where his parents Dr Arthur David and Margaret (Heidenrieich) Thaeler were serving as medical missionaries.

David served his country in the United States Army and was a civil engineer for the City of Middletown.

Mr. Thaeler is survived by his wife, Roberta Napier Thaeler; children, David (Debbie) Thaeler, Carolyn (Wendell) Landis, Susan (Todd) McCollister, Sarah (Mark) Schlueter; brother, John (Marcy) Thaeler; sister, Mary (Bill) Gano and grandchildren, Ben (Sarah) Thaeler, Allison Thaeler, Malachi Landis, Josiah Landis, Charis Landis, Emily (Domenico) Fumarola, Loren McCollister, Casey McCollister, Catherine Schlueter and Peter Schlueter, and many other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents

Memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 7:00 pm at Christ Church United Methodist, 700 S. Marshall Rd., Middletown with Reverend Norman Coleman III officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at church.
