Philomena Donisi

Philomena Donisi, 103, of Middletown, died Thursday, April 7, 2016, at Spring Hills Middletown. She was born in Middletown on November 25, 1912 to parents Frederick and Teresa (Rossi) Parrella.

Philomena had been the owner of the Donisi's Delicatessen and had worked at Shaddock's. She was a member of Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church, Holy Family Ladies Society, St. John's choir and the Middletown Senior Citizens.

Mrs. Donisi is survived by her son, Angelo Anthony (Sandy) Donisi; daughters, JoAnn Bowman, Teresa Adams &, Frankie (Larry) Geese; grandchildren, Cathi Brooks, Tony (Gretchen) Donisi, Mike (Kathy) Donisi, Mark (Robyn) Donisi, Michelle Donisi – wife of Drew, Christy Donisi – wife of Andy, Tim (Joni) Donisi, David (Tina) Donisi, Kim Kidder, Keith Bowman, Debbie (Bret) Sander, David (Connie) Deaton, Darrell (Judy) Deaton, Lloyd Deaton, Debbie Visgirda, Philomena (Jon) Lewis, Joe Deaton & Chad Geese; 36 great grandchildren; and 22 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Andrew Donisi; son, Frederick Andrew Donisi; parents; brothers, Jack Parrella, Andrew Parrella, Louis Parrella, Jack Parrella & Theodore Parrella; sisters, Lavina Dinardo, Blanche Guido, Louise Parrella, Mary Micomonico, Amilia Lungaro & Christine Rizzo; and grandchildren, Ty Geese, Drew Donisi & Andy Donisi.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Spring Hills Middletown, Dr. Hurlburt & the staff of his office and Hospice of Dayton for all of their support.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 11, 2016 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church, 1405 First Avenue, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
