Patricia Ann Simpson, 79, of Middletown, died Wednesday, September 10, 2008, at The Drake Center. She was born on August 12, 1929 to parents George and Bessie (Duncil) Linton.
Patricia was a former employee of the Water Refining Company of Middletown and the Middletown High School Cafeteria, from which she retired in 1986. She attended Harlan Park Church of God. Patricia enjoyed working and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Mrs. Simpson is survived by her children, Thomas Edward (Denise) Mynhier and Darlene Kay Dunlap; stepson, Doug (Bobette) Simpson; stepdaughters, Faye, Patty Lowe, Brenda, Donna, and their children; siblings, Buddy (Flo) Linton, Donnie Linton, Kenny (Lisa) Linton, Phyllis (Fred) King, Marylin Linton, and Judy Linton; grandchildren, Jaclyn Ann, Timothy, & John Dunlap, Stacey Curtis, Holly Eckhart, Thomas Edward Jr, & Amos Mitchell Mynhier, and Matthew Scott Steenbergen; great grandchildren, Sommer Brooke (Brett) Davis-Howard, Cheyenne Herd, Devon, Maliki, & Nathaniel Dunlap, and Kayla, Abigail, & Kayden Curtis; and twin great great grandchildren, Braylon & Barkley Howard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warnie Simpson; her parents; brother, Russell Linton; sister, Wilma Jean Ratliff; step daughter, Sue Simpson; and son-in-law, Tim F. Dunlap.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 11:00 am at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend James Anderson officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Entombment will be at Woodside Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses in care of Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home.
