Mary Jane Hagan

Mary Jane (Geeting) Hagan, 88, of Monroe, died Sunday, December 27, 2009, at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. She was born in Hamilton on February 12, 1921 to parents John and Mary (Leibrook) Geeting.

Mary Jane graduated from Hamilton High School and received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Miami University. She taught in Middletown City Schools for 15 years.

Mrs. Hagan is survived by her son, Thomas Robert Hagan; daughter, Joan Hagan (Dan) Stoutenborough; brother, Carlton (Marjorie) Young; five grandchildren, Paul D. (Jessica) Stoutenborough, Patrick Hagan Stoutenborough, Rebecca Howard, Steven Robbins and Patrick Robbins; and four great grandchildren, Jenna Stoutenborough, Dean Stoutenborough, David Smart and Gavin Howard.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Robert Edward Hagan in 1996 and her parents.

Memorial service will be held Monday, January 4, 2010 at 4:30 pm at Church of the Ascension, 2709 McGee Ave., Middletown with Reverend Elaine Caldbeck officiating. A reception will follow the service.
