Martha Jane Mcdermott

Martha Jane McDermott, 86, of Middletown, died Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at Garden Manor Retirement Village. She was born in Sandusky on August 14, 1918 to John A. and Florence Jane (Kelley) Ryan.

Martha was a graduate of Miami University where she was a member of Alpha IOTA Chapter of Sigma Chapa Sorority. She worked as an office manager for the Ohio Department of Transportation. She was a member of Holy Family Parish and was an organizer of St. Mary´s Church.

Martha is survived by one daughter, Jenny (Jim) Cimprich of Cincinnati; two brothers, Jack Ryan of Kettering and Dick J. Ryan of Huber Heights; six grandchildren, Michael Cimprich, Jeff Cimprich, Kathleen Enright, Angela Enright, Tony Carpenter and Jenny (Michael) Parker; and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Eileen Carpenter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 23, 2005 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church with Father J. Thomas Fitzsimmons as celebrant. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.). Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
