Margie Marie Farler

April 25, 1921 — July 10, 2005

On July 10, 2005, God wrapped his loving arms around Margie and carried her to His beautiful Kingdom in Heaven. She was born in Blue Ball, on April 25, 1921 to parents Seneca and Carolyne Carrie (Snider) Bishop.

Margie was a past president for the American Legion Auxilliary Russell McElfresh Post #149 and for numerous years, has been a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Margie has been so blessed for 84 years with loving family and friends. She is survived by two daughters, Carol (Charlie) Ledford of Franklin and Nina Russell of Middletown; two sons, Marvin (Cheryl) Bowermaster of Franklin and Fred (Annette) Farler of Carlisle; her ten grandchildren, Krystal (Tommy) Richardson of Jasper, AL, Darrell (Alicia) Bowermaster of Middletown, Carol (Dan) Boosinger of Middletown, Robert Kuhn of Franklin, Carl (Karen) Kuhn of Jacksonville, FL, Daniel (Michelle) Kuhn of Franklin, Brad (Dana) Russell of Carlisle, Brandy (Ray) Russell of Trenton, Collin Farler of Carlisle, and Dyllon Farler of Carlisle; eighteen great grandchildren, Jeremy (Veronica) Horton of Pinson, AL, Richard Baker of Birmingham, AL, Jonathan Bowermaster of Middletown, Tabitha (Ryan) Boosinger of Monroe, Todd Boosinger of Middletown, Sondra Kuhn of Eaton, Bobbie Jo Kuhn of Eaton, Amanda Kuhn of Jacksonville, FL, Scott Kuhn of Jacksonville, FL, Zackary Kuhn of Jacksonville, FL, Blayd Kuhn of Jacksonville, FL, Keanu Kuhn of Middletown, Shaiman Kuhn of Middletown, Katana Kuhn of Middletown, Darcey Hunter of New Carlisle, Jessica Russell of Carlisle, Sarah Russell of Carlisle, and Raylee Carrozza of Trenton; three great great grandchildren, Erika Horton of Pinson, AL, Gage Horton of Pinson, AL, and Jonathan Schattenberg of Jacksonville, FL; and numerous nieces & nephews whom she loved with all her heart. She was also blessed with special friends, Ruth Martin (deceased), Opal Caudill, Linda Hatton, Virginia Montgomery, Sugg Norman, and Frankie Watts; as well as very special friend for 30 years, Reverend Artie Wilson. She touched everyone’s life as either Mom, Grandma, Friend, or Guru Margie; Margie of Mayfield to all.

Margie was preceded in death by her husbands Carl Bowermaster and Clifford Farler; her parents; brothers, Clifford, Howard, Delton, Paul, Lloyd, Melvin, Richard, & Murrell; and sisters, Cleo Lucas, Frances Gilbert, & Florence Reedy.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, July 14th at 10:00 am at Calvary Baptist Church, 1601 Jackson Lane, with Reverend Artie Wilson officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 – 8 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.). Interment will be at Woodhill Cemetery.
