Louise Marie Horn

Louise Marie Horn, 96, of Middletown, died Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. She was born in Middletown on December 15, 1914 to parents Andrew and Caroline (Draxler) Mittenholzer.

Louise worked at Black-Clawson for 23 years, retiring in 1972. She was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She was also a member of Middletown Area Senior Citizens, golfed with Senior Women, was a quilter at the church and was a Red Cross Volunteer at Middletown Hospital for over 25 years.

Mrs. Horn is survived by her daughter, Charlotte L. (Jim) Hall; brother, Andrew M. Mittenholzer; six grandchildren, Jim (Kathy) Hall, Matt Hall, Don (Anne) Horn Jr., Jerry (Beth) Horn, Andy (Kim) Horn & Helen (Greg Miller) Warren; eight great grandchildren, Amy (John) Jackson, Kevin Hall, Olivia Hall, Abby Horn, Shelby Horn, Justin Horn, Adam Horn & Heather Warren; and three great great grandchildren, Brandon Soule, Allison Jackson & Kaiden Hall.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald 'Jerry' Horn in 1990; son, Donald E. Horn in 2011; parents; brother, William Mittenholzer in 1942; and sister, Helen Hensley in 1998.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff at Close To Home for their care of Louise.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 15, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Michelle Terry officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. Entombment will be at Woodside Mausoleum.
