Kathleen Agoston Hewitt

Kathleen Agoston Hewitt, 85, of Garden Manor Retirement Village passed away on Friday, October 29, 2004. She was born in Excello, Ohio on September 26, 1919 to parents Harry and Bertha (Gustin) Selby. Kathleen was one of five sisters and grew up in the Amanda area, graduating from Monroe High School in 1937.

She married Gazel J. Agoston on Oct. 6, 1937 and resided on Central Ave. for 62 years. Mr. Agoston passed away on Nov. 14, 1969 after 32 years of marriage. In the early years of their marriage, Kathleen worked at Aeronca and was also a secretary for David L. Finkelman. Gazel and Kathleen were instrumental in the building of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Middletown and were one of the first 25 families in the parish. Kathleen married George R. Hewitt on May 1, 1976. Mr. Hewitt passes away on June 22, 1982.

Her death is mourned by her family; son: David R. (Letecia) Agoston of Trenton, OH; grandsons, Chad David, Bradly Gazel and Grant Donald Agoston all of Trenton and granddaughter, Kristina Lynn of Anadarko OK, beloved sisters: Jeanette Lovely of Bradenton, FL, and Patricia (William) Anthony and Carol Robinson, both of Middletown.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister, Elaine Neill and brother-in-law, Ray Lovely.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2004 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church with celebrant Father John Civille. Visitation will be Monday, November 1, 2004 from 5:30-8:00 pm at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. Middletown. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
