Janet Marstall

Janet Marstall, age 80, of Middletown, died Saturday, June 29, 2013 at her home. She was born April 11, 1933 to parents James B. and Olga (Nicholas) Greenfield, number ten of fourteen children.

Janet is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Carl "Joe" Marstall; daughters, Karen (Matt) Clemens, Melissa Gallagher, and Joanne (Tim) Bruggeman; grandchildren Benjamin, Christen (fiancé Jeff Cryder) Adam Clemens, Sara (Robin) Harper, Janice (David) Sowder, Keri (Chris)Tyler, Bryce, Anna, Rosalie McDonald, Joseph (fiancé Allison Kusneske), Nathan, Alan Bruggeman and great grandchildren Dylan, Mackenzie, Trey, Caleb, Kacey, Jadyn and Quinn. She is also survived by her brother Frederick Greenfield and sister Barbara (Herb) Trimble; Sisters-in-law Sharon and Edna Greenfield, Wilma (Spencer) Duffey, Annamarie (Robert) Norris; brother-in-law Jerry Brown; numerous nieces and nephews.

Janet enjoyed crafts, reading, traveling with friends the Alexander's and the Muraski's and fishing at Lake Cumberland. Janet was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend, but she really shined as a grandmother. Grandma knew how to lay the law down, but was quick with a smile and a hug when the "troops" fell in line. Her unconditional love given during hours of babysitting, athletic events of every shape and size, shared vacations and celebrations galore is a gift already cherished.

Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish – Holy Trinity Church 201 Clark Street, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 at Wilson-Schramm- Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown, OH. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
