James Gregory Gardner

James “Greg” Gardner, 56, of Middletown died Saturday May 29, 2004 at his residence. He was born April 14, 1948 in Middletown to parents James U. and Marjorie Palmer Gardner.

Mr. Gardner served his country during Vietnam as a Medic in the 101st Airborne division of the Army. Greg has worked for 35 years at AK Steel as a supervisor in the BOF. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles and was a volunteer blackjack dealer at many festivals in and around Middletown.

Greg is survived by his wife of 35 years Beverly Hollon Gardner of Middletown, two daughters, Tina M. (Jeff) Blevins of Trenton, and Kelly L. Gardner of Middletown, one son Scott G. (Tara) Gardner of Middletown, his mother Marjorie A. Gardner of Middletown, a brother Mark (Leigh) Gardner of Jacksonville Beach Fl. and a sister Becky (David) Hughes of Middletown. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; Tyler Gardner, Allison Gardner, Kelsey Gardner, Braydon Blevins, Mason Gardner, and Teagan Blevins, along with many other loved ones.

Greg was preceded in death by his father James U. Gardner.

Funeral services will be Wednesday June 2, 2004 at 10:00AM at the Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd at Bonita Dr., with the Reverend David Chivington officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday June 1, 2004 from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
