Barnett, James ("Blackie")

James Barnett, 62, of Middletown, died Friday, April 15, 2011, at home. He was born in Breathitt, Kentucky on April 16, 1948 to parents Ray E. and Ina (Walters) Barnett.

Blackie was a fabricator for Aeronca.

Mr. Barnett is survived by his wife, Angie (Walters) Barnett; children, Randy Kencaid, James (Julie) Barnett, Billy (Ali) Messer, Raymond (Seira) Barnett, Tenesa (Roger) Trotter, Sandy Kencaid and Deanna (Frank) Chambers; brothers, Bobby (Robin) Barnett, Eddie "Bones" (Kathy) Barnett; sisters, Connie (Tom "Wolfman") Wells, Lisa Barnett and 13 grandchildren5 great granddaughters.

"Blackie" was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donald Ray "Red" Barnett.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 7:00 pm at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Dawn Cornett officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Immediately following the service on Thursday the family wishes to invite everyone to the Blue Goose on Tytus Ave.
