Herbert Johnson

Herbert Johnson, of Middletown, went to be with the Lord, Monday, January 26, 2009, from his residence. He was born in Middletown, on December 30th, to parents Dock and Hazel (Romans) Johnson.

Herbert worked for Armco Steel Corp. for 35 years, retiring in 1981 as a Benefits Advisor. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margie Johnson; his son, Mark D. Johnson; daughter, Linda M. (Tracy) Mitchell; three grandchildren, Michael Nicholson, Tiffany Krumpack and Jacob Mitchell; and nephews Bob (Sandy) Baty and Dan (Karen) Baty.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Dorothy Baty.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 29, 2009 at 12:00 Noon at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Pastor Bruce Moore officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 - 12:00 noon. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park with military honors conducted by Middletown Combined Honor Guard.
