Donald Richard Rusche

Donald Richard Rusche, 85, of Middletown, died Sunday, December 13, 2009, at Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. He was born in Middletown on September 22, 1924 to parents Mark Henry and Inez Marie (Day) Rusche.

Don worked for Armco Steel Corporation for 19 years, retiring in 1982. He served his country in the United States Army Air Corps in Guam during World War II and was a member of Holy Family Parish.

Mr. Rusche is survived by his brother, David B. Rusche; dear friend, Irene Downing and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Lee (Cain) Rusche; his parents; and sisters, Naomi Geckeler, Esther Cruse and Mary Loeber.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish - St. John's Church, 1405 First Avenue, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
