Christine Stewart

Christine Stewart, 87, of Monroe, died Monday, December 1, 2008, at Atrium Medical Center. She was born in Irwin, Kentucky on October 2, 1921 to parents Edgar and Callie (McIntosh) Tipton.

Christine had worked as a manager of Central Pastry and she did alot of volunteer work. She was a member of the Kentucky Colonels. She was a wonderful and devoted mother, grandmother and friend whose kindness toward others and energy and joy for life will be remembered by all who knew her.

Mrs. Stewart is survived by her son, Ron (Jackie) Stewart; daughter, Linda (Larry) Anderson; sister, Imogene Morgan; grandchildren, Greg (Jenny) Anderson, Jodi (Steve) Winters, Jill (John) Irwin, Jeff (Sara) Stewart and Ronnie (Cheryl) Stewart; and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Stewart in 1999; her parents; brothers, James Tipton and Edgar Tipton Jr; and sisters, Agnes Finney and Eileen Tipton.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the Atrium CCU staff, especially Dana, Teri, Sheri and Josh.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 1:00 PM at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (Bonita Dr.), with Reverend Dr. Roger Green officiating.
