Carl Jackson "Jack" Songer

Carl Jackson "Jack" Songer, 83, of Milford Township, died Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at home. He was born in Springdale on January 11, 1932 to parents Clemath George and Dora Lena (Fetter) Songer.

Jack was a veteran of the United States Army, serving as a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne during the Korean Conflict. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his grandkids.

Mr. Songer is survived by his son, Danny Songer; daughters, Teresa (Michael) Webb & Cindy (Paul) Howard; grandchildren, Tosha McKeever, Molli & Megan Webb, Wesley, William, Vanessa & Wallace Howard; and 3 sisters out of 15 siblings.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary N. Songer in 2014; son, Arthur Songer in 2007; and parents.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 11:30 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Major Tom Duperree officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 - 11:30 am. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
