Betty Jean Knapp

Betty Jean Knapp, 59, of Middletown died Saturday September 21, 2002 at her residence. She was born March 21, 1943 in Middletown to parents Rector and Bethel (Highley) Lykins.

Mrs. Knapp was employed by the Shaker Run Golf Club as a manager in food service. She also enjoyed traveling, spending time with friends and was a member of the Monroe Church of the Nazarene.

Betty is survived by her husband John Knapp, her son Jeff (Latta) Knapp of Philadelphia PA. Two brothers Donnie (Velma) Lykins of Franklin, Millard (May) Lykins of Middletown, one sister Dixie (Willard) Buchanan of Middletown, and two grandchildren Kaleigh and Wesley Knapp.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers Winston and Lafe (Tim) Lykins.

Funeral services will be Tuesday September 24, 2002 at 10:00 am at the Wilson Schramm Spaulding Funeral Home 3805 Roosevelt Blvd at Bonita Dr. with the Pastor Gary Jones officiating. Visitation will be Monday September 23 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery in Middletown.

In Lieu of Flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Betty Jean Knapp Benefit Golf Outing at Shaker Run Golf Club 4361 Greentree Rd. Lebanon, Ohio 45036, to be held on October 13, 2002. More information is available by calling 1800-721-0007.
