Argyle Pierson

Argyle Pierson, 88, of Trenton, died Sunday, November 6, 2005, at his residence. He was born in Okeana, Ohio on August 5, 1917 to Everett and Rose (Tabatts) Pierson.

Mr. Pierson retired from Armco Steel Corporation where he worked as a machinist. He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #330. He had played semi-pro baseball in Buffalo, New York and was an avid golfer and fisherman.

Argyle is survived by his wife of 65 years, Evelyn (Blanken) Pierson; two daughters, Judy (Wayne) Decaires of Mineral, VA and Tari (Rex) Stupp of Middletown; two sons, Jim (Becky) Pierson of Ellenton, FL and Gary (Vickie) Pierson of St. Louis, MO; grandson, Michael Decaires; granddaughter, Samantha Cloud; as well as many brothers & sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson, Chuck Hurst.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Holy Name Catholic Church with Father George Klein as celebrant. There will be no visitation. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Holy Name Catholic Church, 222 Hamilton Ave., Trenton, OH 45067.
