Adam Joseph Markey

Adam Joseph Markey, 27, of Middletown, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at home. He was born in Columbus on June 18, 1984 to parents John C. and Janice L. (Kaiser) Markey.

Adam was an active volunteer at The Healing Center, a ministry of the Vineyard Community Church Tri-County Campus. Adam was always active as a child and excelled in the sports he participated in. He attended Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, PA, where he earned a BA in Economics.

In addition to his parents Adam is survived by uncles, Jay Markey, Randy (Charissa) Markey, Pat (Kathy) Kaiser, Gary Kaiser & Alan (Melanie) Kaiser; aunts, Lori (Dave) Mitchell & Kay (Jim) Koepnick; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jason D. Markey and grandparents, John Joseph Markey, Herman & Virginia Kaiser and Mildred Gerdts.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May 21, 2012 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church, 201 Clark Street, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
