Robert Charles Zapp

Robert C. Zapp, 70, of Bland, VA, died Friday, December 29, 2017, at Wythe County Community Hospital.  He was born in Middletown on November 12, 1947 to parents Harry and Helen (Graham) Zapp. 

Robert served his country in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam.  He worked at ARMCO Steel and he loved his family and dogs. 

Mr. Zapp is survived by his son, Robert D. (Jennifer) Zapp; sister, Sandy Detweiler and grandchildren, Robert S. Zapp and Trinity Zapp. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Virginia and Edward; nephew, Michael Craft.   

Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 12, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend Terry Ball officiating.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00-1:00pm.  Interment will be at Woodhill Cemetery with military honors.
