Richard Chester Smith

Richard Chester Smith, 59, of Middletown, died Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Hawthorn Glen Nursing Center.  He was born in Middletown on May 14, 1958 to parents William C. and Chardell M. (Lubberger) Smith.

Mr. Smith is survived by his daughter, Andrea Smith; brothers, Michael (Lorna) Smith & David (Lisa) Smith; and granddaughter, Liana Henderson. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother William Smith.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Hawthorn Glen for their wonderful care the past seven years and Hospice of Dayton.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 5, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at Holy Family Parish - Holy Trinity Church, 201 Clark Street, Middletown with Father John Civille as celebrant.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at the church.  Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
