Obituary for Neil W. Richmond

Neil Wallace Richmond, 85, of Monroe, died Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Chesterwood Village. He was born in West Union, Ohio on December 27, 1932 to parents Fred and Mamie Laura (Howland) Richmond.

Neil graduated from West Union High School, Class of 1950. He then attended Miami University, Oxford, earning his BA in 1954 and his Master’s Degree in 1965. He did his student teaching at McKinley Junior High in Middletown then taught at Lemon-Monroe High School from 1978 until his retirement in 1990. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Neil was a member of Monroe Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Richmond is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty (Wills) Richmond; daughters, Laura Greiwe & Rachel Shassere; grandsons, Will & Luke Greiwe, Drew & Quinn Brown.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 1, 2018 at 1:00 pm at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Dr., Middletown with Reverend Jeri Baker officiating. Interment will be at North Monroe Cemetery.
