Gerda G. Hellmich

Gerda Hellmich, 102, died peacefully Nov 4, 2017 at Walnut Creek Assisted Living, Dayton, OH. A former resident of Middletown, OH. Born in Vellin, Germany 1915.

Preceded in death by husband Erich Hellmich, married 56 years. Survived by two children, Klaus Hellmich (Sharon), Louisville, KY. Charlotte Langen (Pat), Dayton, OH. Four Hellmich grandsons: Nick, Matthew, Robert, Andrew and one great grandson, Rafael.

Gerda attended culinary school. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, growing her own food and sharing with family, friends and neighbors. She enjoyed many crafts, especially knitting. Gerda was a unique individual who spread love and happiness. A member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Middletown and Liberty Home Association, Hamilton.

Her family thanks friends who visited Gerda. Grateful for the care and kindness she enjoyed at the Suites of Walnut Creek. Appreciate her caregivers from Home Instead.
