Dorothy M. Craycraft

Dorothy M. Craycraft, 93, of Middletown, died Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at Ohio Living Mt. Pleasant. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 2, 1924 to parents Chester and Harriett (Przepierski) Iglinski.

Dorothy was a loving mother, a member of Holy Family Parish and sang in the choir at St. Mary's Church. She worked for First National Bank of SW Ohio and participated in volksmarches. Mrs. Craycraft enjoyed many things in life including square dancing, singing, cooking, Hershey chocolate, traveling, cooking Christmas breakfast, hats, shoes, the Reds and she was a diehard Cubs fan. She also was a hand model in Chicago and loved spending time at her grandchildren’s events. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff Mt. Pleasant on Hyde floor and Dr. VanValkenburg for all of their care.

Mrs. Craycraft is survived by her sons, David B. (Chong Suk) Craycraft, Don S. Craycraft and daughter, Deborah Piedel and step brother, Paul Iglinski; grandchildren, Diane Craycraft, Catherine Craycraft, Stephen Piedel and Monica Piedel; great grandson, Gibson Piedel.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Douglas Craycraft, brother, Raymond Iglinski; sisters, Loretta Robinson and Theresa Clayton.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 10:00 am at Mary H. Kittredge Chapel at Ohio Living Mt. Pleasant, 225 Britton Lane, Monroe with Father John Civille officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt (at Bonita Dr.) Blvd., Middletown, OH. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
