Ronald M. Spaulding is a native of Cincinnati; he attended Cincinnati Public Schools, and graduated from Western Hills High School in 1962 and the University of Cincinnati in 1973. He was a branch manager at a Cincinnati funeral home, before moving to Middletown in 1986, when he and his wife Judy purchased the Wilson-Schramm Memorial Home. In 1988 the name was changed to Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home. Ron married Judy Holthaus in 1967, they have two children Jennifer & Mark. Ron is a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Middletown Rotary Club, Salvation Army Advisory Board, National Funeral Directors Association, Ohio Funeral Directors Association, 4th District Funeral Directors Association, Middletown Chamber of Commerce, and the Dial Radio Club, Middletown Sportsman Club. He enjoys Amateur Radio; ( his call sign is N8NQF), computers,

 

 

Judith A. Spaulding

Judith A. Spaulding was born and raised in Cincinnati. She was a 1963 graduate of Oak Hills High School, a 1967 graduate of Miami University with a BS of Education and did post graduate work at the College of Mt. St. Joseph in Cincinnati in 1982. After coming the Middletown in 1986, Judy changed from a teaching career to becoming a licensed funeral director in 1989. She is currently the Secretary/Treasurer for the corporation. She is a member of Christ United Methodist Church, National Funeral Directors Assoc., Ohio Funeral Directors Assoc., 4th District Ohio Funeral Directors Assoc., Soroptimist International of Middletown and Middletown Business and Professional Women. She currently serves on the community boards of CareView Home Health, Middletown Senior Citizens and Summerville Assisted Living. Judy enjoys gardening, reading, needlework and crafts. She and her husband, Ron have been married since July of 1967 and have two children, Jenny, who lives in Manhattan and Mark, who works in the family business.

 

Mark A. Spaulding

Mark A. Spaulding, born in Cincinnati Ohio, moved to Middletown with his family in 1986. After graduation from Middletown High School in 1996, he spent two years at Ohio University and then transferred to the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science where he earned his Bachelors degree in Mortuary Science, he graduated in March of 2000. Mark served his apprenticeship at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home under the direction of his father Ronald M. Spaulding. In 2001, Mark received his Funeral Directors and Embalmers License and is now working in the family business with his mother and father. It has always been in Mark's desire to work alongside his parents. He is now a licensed member of the staff at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home and serving his community to the best of his ability. Mark and his wife Kelley (Duff) attend church at the University Baptist Church in Middletown. Mark is also a member of the Middletown Dial Radio Club(amateur radio operators, his call is N8YLS), Ducks Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Federation, and the Ohio Funeral Directors Association.
 

 Melodie (Osborne) Rickard

Melodie has lived in Middletown all of her life, with the exception of a couple years living on the family farm in Germantown. She was active in Girl Scouts, Rainbow Girls, and 4-H. She graduated from Middletown High School in 1985, having taken Cosmetology through the vocational program. She received her license for Cosmetology that summer and worked in the salon industry for nearly 11 years. She has been with us at the funeral home since 2000. In 1988, she married her high school sweetheart, Rusty. They share their home with their two "kids" (dachshunds) Colonel & Dottie. She is a member of the Franklin First United Methodist Church, where she sings in the choir and has been active on several committees, and Prosser Chapter Order of Eastern Star. In her spare time she enjoys cross-stitching, scrapbooking, reading, and collecting Longaberger Baskets.
