If you would choose cremation, you still have many options available, such as visitation, and final disposition. We can assist you with all the details. With the cremation process, the body is placed into a casket or an approved combustible container and then placed in a special furnace, called a retort. Under intense heat and flame the body is reduced to bone fragments, known as cremains. The cremated remains are then placed in container called an urn.
As with traditional earth burial, the type of cremation service is your choice. This may include visitation, public or private funeral service with the casketed body present, or a memorial service without the body present, which, may be held prior to, or following the cremation process. Much like a direct burial, a direct cremation service is limited to the cremation process without any preparation of the body, services or memorialization.
Traditional Cremation Service
is available for different types of services, from traditional religious ceremonies to contemporary gatherings. A traditional cremation service may include a viewing or visitation, a formal service (at the funeral home, local church or other venue) and any necessary automotive equipment. Memorial register books, memorial folders and acknowledgement cards may be purchased, and floral tributes are often displayed. We encourage our families to bring photographs and other memorabilia to further personalize the service.
Graveside Service
 A graveside service or gathering is held at the burial site or columbarium where the cremated remains are interred. This can be arranged separately or in conjunction with a memorial service.
Memorial Service
 A Memorial Service may be planned at the funeral home or at a location of your choice. Memorial registry books, service folders, flag cases and personal memorabilia can be used to further personalize the memorial.
